Apparently, there were to separate assaults that took place in the East End of the CBD this weekend. In addition to the Mosteller incident, a second assault and foot pursuit took place at around 01:30 Saturday morning...
Daily Local News photographer Tom Kelly came across the tail end of a foot pursuit involving WCPD and West Goshen officers at Prescott Alley and Matlack Street, in which the suspect was wanted for a separate assault nearby. The victim, according to the DLN, was transported to Crozer-Chester Medical Center by GFAC and Medic 91. The photo appeared in yesterday's editions on page A2.
At first, when I saw the photo, I thought it was the same incident, until I realized the victim in the assault at Mosteller was not transported to the hospital. Two suspects were arriaigned in District Court for assault charges over the weekend, though it's not entirely clear based on the court records for which incident they were arrested for. Eric Cruz was committed to Chester County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail; Joel Mariano Meijas was committed to CCP in lieu of $5,000 bail.
