Hello West Chester CC families,

Two more opportunities if you are interested - see below.

The first is a movement exercise class held at Eastern University. Several CC families have participated in the past and have enjoyed this experience.

The second opportunity is a special day at the Lancaster Science Museum on October 10th.


Nov. 19, 26, 28 and 12/3, 9am-9:50.   We are preparing classes for ages 7 through 10 years. Students are working on several 'themes', including Under the Sea and Construction!  They are implementing knowledge learned in the area of dance concepts such as but not limited to:  space, levels, flow, quality, floor patterns, imagery and creative work such as helping students come up with their own movement around the class themes!   I think for this age group, the classes can really dive in and have some fun!  We will hold the classes at Eastern University in our dance studio, which is located in the gym.  Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Our Second Annual Business Open House Needs Kids on Wednesday, October 10 from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.! Dear Jillian, The Lancaster Science Factory is hosting its 2nd Annual Business Open House and we are looking for children to come the morning of Wednesday, October 10 from 7:30 - 9:00 am! Participants can simply show up at the Science Factory at 7:15 Wednesday morning.  We will be hosting a breakfast with prominent business associates, but the real stars will be the kids interacting with all the exhibits.  We appreciate it even if you can only stop in for part of this time (we understand children need to head off to school!). Children and adults will be able to enjoy our exhibits as well as get a chance to help us by showing local business owners how cool and fun the Science Factory is for elementary and secondary aged school kids. We are looking for children of any age (preferably 5 and older).  Children will need to be accompanied by at least one adult, and you may stay and play in the Science Factory until 9:00 a.m.  Light refreshments will be served.
