A COUPLE UPDATES

And now, updates on a couple of stories posted here at West Chester Unplugged:

Chalk one up for Mike Perrone. The summary trial of Commonwealth of Pennsylvania vs. Kildare's West Chester, Inc. (15-1-01; NT-0000333-07) took place this past Wednesday. Judge Bruno found Kildare's guilty of Overcrowding from the incident that was documented in the Philadelphia Magazine article earlier this month - the same article in which Mr. Perrone and the WCPD weren't exactly portrayed in a positive light (the way the writer described it, you would've thought WCPD was raiding an illegal speakeasy).

Kildare's was sentenced to pay $303.00 in fines and court costs. It's unknown whether or not an appeal is planned. For a businessman like William David Magrogan, he could easily make that much money in about 20 minutes...

As for the two new police cars that were delivered to the borough last month, they are, as of Saturday afternoon, down at the Metropolitan Communications shop in West Whiteland awaiting radio and MDT installation. As of this point, both vehicles still lack license tags, but that'll probably happen sooner rather than later...
