Summer jobs with Verizon

NEW YORK, March 28 /PRNewswire/ -- As the demand for Verizon's products
and services continues to increase, the company is seeking to hire more
than 400 employees to fill summertime positions. The jobs are located in
approximately 40 communities throughout New York state, including Albany,
New York City, Garden City and Troy. (Note: See below for full list of
communities.)

Verizon is seeking candidates for customer service administrator and
field technician positions. The customer service administrator position
involves resolving customer repair issues in a fast-paced telephone
call-center environment. Applicants for the field technician position --
which entails installing, repairing and maintaining customers'
telecommunications equipment -- must have a valid driver's license and a
good driving record, and must successfully complete paid training.
Candidates for both positions should be available to work full time (40
hours per week) through the summer, possibly including nights, weekends and
holidays. Starting wages for the jobs range from $396.50 to $461 per week,
depending on position and location.
