HERE WE GO AGAIN...

Just when you thought it was safe to go out on a Saturday night in West Chester, a couple of major incidents broke out within less than 15 minutes...

At around 01:50 Sunday morning, during the course of a pedestrian stop at Market and Church Sts, a drunken male idiot decided to run from the police. After a brief foot pursuit, which ended behind New Haven Pizza, the suspect briefly resisted arrest before finally being taken into custody. Who would've suspected that wouldn't be the monster call of the night...

About 10-15 minutes later, multiple units responded to the report of a large fight outside of Coyote Crossing at Market and Walnut. Minutes earlier, officers had reported to several nearby corners along Walnut and Miner Streets, hoping to prevent a repeat of the fight behind Baxter's. That didn't exactly go as planned...

As officers converged on the scene, an officer assist request was placed to West Goshen, West Chester University, and Westtown-East Goshen to assist WCPD on the Coyote Crossing call. When cooler heads prevailed, at least 4 people were taken into custody, though there has been no final or definitive count of arrests made in regards to the incident...

And someone wants to open another bar in that general area? They're kidding, right?
