Assist in testing, implementing, maintaining and controlling the organization's databases across multiple platforms such as MS SQL 2000, MS SL 2005, Oracle and DB2 databases on a MS Windows Operating System Server platform. Monitor transaction activities and assists in improving the performance of all databases. Report abnormal discrepancies to Senior Database staff members. Participate in meetings in the development of standards and procedures affecting database management, design and maintenance. Work with senior database staff by maintaining databases for test and production purposes for assigned projects. Monitor the performance of all databases for the organization. Monitor all database backups and report any failures of this process. On a project basis, monitor and provide statistical information on system and application performance and provide recommendations or corrective action. This position is based in White Plains, NY.
